Have you ever wondered what happens at CLC when camp isn’t in going on?
We get this question a lot, so you’re not alone. The answer is: lots!
Our biggest activity is skiing. The Skii Center at Crystal Lake is in full swing these days, so we have visitors from all over Pennsylvania, Maryland, and DC. (Each weekend the game field becomes a parking lot. We’ve had over 200 skiiers on some weekends!)
This also means Alford Hall’s fireplace is roaring and the kitchen is open to buy lunch. The aromas of soup, hot cocoa and cookies are often wafting from its doors. Mmmmm.
There’s more – sledding, snowshoeing, taking pictures of the camp dogs, and of course our ongoing preparations for schools to attend the “Bear Run Conference and Outdoor Center” in the spring.
But don’t just read about it, see for yourself below.
P.S. Most of you are enjoying good snow too (49 out of 50 states had snow last month!) – what do you do in it? Send us your winter photos! Do you have more snow than us? Any spectacular sunsets? A good snowball fight caught on film? We’ll post what we can on the blog to see what the “CLC family” is up to this winter. Email them to: Jasmine@crystallakecamps.org, or drop us a line below in the “comments” section.
