OH yes.
Which means that along with the plethora of other activities activities going on all around there are also busy campers slaving away making decorations for the banquet. Those noble volunteers have selflessly donated their afternoons to constructing elements from centerpieces to costumes. Hours of lego construction bent over those little building blocks creating the universe. 😉 But that’s the way we like to do things here at camp: even the necessary tasks should feel like play. Or something.
In other exciting news, yesterday we were been joined by 8 Amish teenagers who are part of the cultural exchange program that Crystal Lake has organized with some local Amish farms. Our beloved Counselors In Training returned a few nights ago from their 2 day stay with Amish families where they helped with chores, farm work and family life. Yesterday and today we are returned the favor and those boys and girls old enough from the families we visited have come to experience camp for a few days! We’ve loved having them.
But…it’s hot. So hot that typing even another word out might just do in the machinery so fair readers we bid you adieu. You may read about the last of our adventures tomorrow.
