A Great Day for Gratitude

The last full day of classes of the summer is the perfect time to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. Today is the perfect day for every camper and staff member to reach the goal they’ve been working toward since last week’s Council Fire.

The CITs returned from their visit to the Amish farms last night and their presence brought a refreshed joy to the dining hall this morning. The Eagle Rock group headed out to Rickett’s Glen for a full day of swimming, running, and exploring. This afternoon, the Trail Blazers will be going to float downstream in tubes and get ice cream to put a finish on the class. Quidditch class is making team t-shirts this morning. The boating class is made their way around the lake in a contraption of two linked canoes tied to a kayak in the front.

Tonight at the Silent Council Fire, we will all join together for the last Council Fire of the summer. This time everyone will come and leave in silence to have time to reflect on the session, the summer, their goals, and what lies ahead.
