THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE POLAR PLUNGE CHALLENGE AND FOR CRYSTAL LAKE!
Please continue to pledge and promote so we can reach our goal of $5,000!
There is a Facebook event for the fundraiser called “Polar Plunge Challenge”, so please invite yourselves to the event if you haven’t already!
You can read about the event below.
Logan Landry, a long time camper, is the event coordinator and a high school student, who is also a part of the National Leadership Council.
I’m Logan Landry and I have been attending Crystal Lake for 8 years.
I love Crystal Lake, and I am doing a fundraiser to benefit the camp!
I am part of a program called National Leadership Council, and this fundraiser will be my Capstone.
A couple of years ago CLC started a new tradition called the Polar Plunge.
The ice on Crystal Lake is broken and any daring person jumps into the freezing lake! For this fundraiser, the jumper is invited to solicit pledges before the event, and then donate them to CLC.
THERE ARE 3 WAYS YOU CAN HELP WITH THIS FUNDRAISER:
If you are able to come to CLC’s Winter Camp, which takes place December 29- January 1, and you want to do the Polar Plunge, then you can get pledges from anyone and everyone you know for you to jump in the lake! How many of your friends would pay you to jump in a frozen lake? I bet a lot of them would!
Payment must be by check made out to Crytal Lake Camps, with a note on the memo line: “Polar Plunge Challenge” Checks will be collected by participants, who will then mail them to me.
If you don’t want to participate in the Polar Plunge or can’t make it to Winter Camp, you can pledge to one or more people who are participating in the Polar Plunge. If you don’t know anyone to pledge to and you’d like to participate, you can pledge for me by emailing me.
