“Nature thought for the Day” – with Mark Catlin

NOTE: YOU’LL WANT TO TURN YOUR VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP (gradually of course), HEAD PHONES CAN BE VERY HELPFUL TO REALLY HEAR THESE NATURE SOUNDS OR A GOOD SPEAKER TO PLAY THEM ON.

canadian+goose

At the first sign of Spring, this goose was out on the lake in the morning fog, just after it had unfroze completely, seemingly calling back to his echo.

These Leopard Frogs were making quite an unusual noise around Hidden Pond.

This chorus of frogs was just across the road from Catfish Swamp.

  1. Hi friends, beautiful photos and nice comments. But I hear no sound at all, nor see any place to “click” to activate sound. What’s up?

    1. Hi Nancy, sorry for just seeing this now. Have you had any better chance to listen to the audio recordings from camp? I find that they take a bit to load the image sometimes and then a little bit more to play the audio once you hit the orange round play button on the image. If you don’t hear it from the post, head on over to the CLC SoundCloud account and try to listen to them there: https://soundcloud.com/crystallakecamps. Let me know how that works. Sorry if the other hasn’t worked for you yet. Thanks for letting me know – Ryan
