Thank You, BJ!

Dear CLC Family:  We wanted to share that BJ has submitted his resignation, and after three very fruitful years as Crystal Lake’s Camp Director, he will be leaving CLC later this month.
He provided his notice in the winter, and while we’d been anticipating his departure to be after camp, a really terrific opportunity opened up for him recently which he’s taken.  He’ll be overseeing a segment of the Omni Hotel Group’s resort at the base of Mt. Washington in NH.  While we’re sad to see him go, we also wish him well on his new adventures!  We look forward to his continuing support of CLC from his new home in New England.
Over the past three years, BJ has brought his natural love of children, the outdoors, camping, as well as his great skills in organization and financial management, all of which has helped CLC progress in our programs, with our Ski Center, and our organization as a whole.  We will miss his enthusiasm for life, and for all things Disney!
Moving forward, we have made Becca DeNicholas the interim Camp Director, and have hired Mark Whalley as Program Director; you may know him as he’s worked at CLC off and on for the better part of 20 years in a variety of capacities including Boy’s Head Counselor, LT support, kitchen worker, and more.  Mark’s love of camp, and wealth of experience as a school teacher in Fairfax, VA will serve us well in that capacity.
Please join us in wishing BJ a fond farewell.  We will miss him, and are deeply appreciative for all he’s brought to the Camp Director role in the past 3 years.
Thank you BJ!
-Nathan
