Thank you to all who came out and supported our annual Alumni Weekend event! We had a wonderful weekend full of fun, inspiration, and sharing memories. Pumpkin carving, the talent show, archery, and our Long House project were just a few highlights from the weekend. We also had a great CLC History talk, where Todd shared some historic details about the CLC property and led us in sharing early memories of camp. It was really great to see a group of CLC alumni and their friend
s and family gather together at camp and spend time in such a special place.
Abby, who has been working at camp for the month of October shares:
This Alumni Weekend was my first off-season CLC event. I didn’t expect to be doing a lot. I figured that most everyone coming already knew each other and that it would be hard for me to find a role. But I was glad to be wrong here! Both the adults and the kids were welcoming and eager to enjoy all that camp has to offer. From Til-e-kum to pumpkin carving to cranberry-picking hikes. The most fun for me was the combined talent show and barn dance, where there were opportunities for every age group to shine! John Manifold taught us a samba line dance, we played limbo and musical chairs, and the Meixsell’s blew us away with four Broadway covers in a row! What a blast!
Our Alumni Council also gave us an annual report, which you can find here. They shared what they’ve been doing, future goals, and how to continue supporting CLC.
We are SO grateful for our CLC family and look forward to next year’s Alumni Weekend!
